Our Fall 2014 Kids’ Collection

kidsrockshoes

When it comes to the Schuler Shoes’ Fall 2014 Kids’ Collection, parents should think of the quality and comfort they themselves have come to appreciate from some of our most beloved brands; while designed specifically for developing feet, a number of the of the kids’ shoes we carry this season are takedown versions of their adult counterparts.

We kept in mind some important kids shoe needs to choose our 2014 Fall collection. We know it can be hard to find children’s shoes for wider feet, so some of our styles offer a variety of extended sizes and widths (from narrow to extra wide) to fit all foot shapes. For children who don’t know how to tie their shoes yet, we have alternative closure options like hook-and-loop straps and bungee laces. We’ve also made a conscious effort to offer quality product at multiple price points for different family needs.

By brand, here are some of the key kids’ shoe styles Schuler Shoes is offering for back-to-school:

(Disclaimer: Not all products available in all store locations. Shoes that are only available in specific locations are specified.)

New Balance:

Parents will recognize some styles like the Fresh Foam 980 (left) and the 890 Cushioning Running Shoe (right) from their own shoe closets.  Color is key in this athletic-wear collection.  Many of our styles come in fun, bright neons kids love.

Clarks:cuddlehug

This girl’s fashion boot is called the “Snugglehug”. Awwww, right? These cuties are warmlined for cooler temperatures. Handcrafted detailing includes contrast stitching and a lovely knitted cuff for an on-trend look.

Keen:AustinandMJ

Rugged and durable to withstand all-day play, these shoes have non-marking rubber outsoles and provide a roomy toe box for healthy foot functioning and toe protection. The Austin II (left, also available in black) is a leather men’s shoe takedown. Versatile, it can be paired with a uniform, or worn as a nice casual or dress shoe. The Punky MJ (right) is a classic Mary Jane. We think the all-black version makes a perfect understated shoe option for a uniform.

Merrell:junglemock

The Jungle Moc (available in black) is a great leather slip-on for fall and winter. Its classic-yet-casual style effortlessly pairs with uniforms or casual outfits, while its on-and-off ease makes this an easy favorite.

(Available at Wayzata, Maple Grove, Roseville, St. Louis Park, Woodbury, and Saint Cloud locations)

Geox:geox

While kids love the way some of these shoes light up, we like their sleek, European design and the quality, breathable materials that help this shoe hold up well. Like Eclipse (left) and Emy (right) all our Geox styles have alternative closures (no laces). With sizes ranging up to where adult sizes start, there’s easy on and off for a wide span of ages.

Jambu:jambu3

What we love most about these shoes is that with their easy Velcro closure-system, kids can take them on and off themselves. The Tahr for boys (left) is eco-friendly and durable for the boy that’s always on the go.  Greenwich-2 for girls (center, right) is a lightweight, flexible Mary Jane-style takedown from the adult Blossom version.  Sensible, yet pretty with laser-cut flower details, we think it’ll get any girl off on the right foot this school year.
