A few summers ago, I truly learned to explore Minnesota. My boys had just learned to take their own fish off the hook and my daughter was old enough to no longer need naps in the afternoon. We called it “The Summer of Lakes”. Each week, we would find a lake on our map, pack a picnic, grab some bait and head out on our adventure.
It was a summer I will never forget. We not only got to experience beautiful lakes and parks in the Twin Cities, but new areas as well. We stumbled upon yummy ice cream stands, cute downtown areas and met other people out on their own adventures.
